styles copied to normal.dot from organizer not taking all attributes

Hi, I'm having a problem getting styles saved in normal.dot. What
happens is I:

Create a blank document,
Show Styles and Formatting
For each of the the header styles
Modify
Set the 'Style based on' to the previous heading style, except for
Heading 1 which is based on no style
Set the font, size and numbering
Under Format -> Paragraph
Set left indentation to 0"
Set Special from Hanging to (none)
Tools -> Templates and Add-ins -> Organizer
Copy and overwrite all styles in the current document to Normal.dot
Create a new blank document
The new document is created with the font, size and numbering
preserved, but the indentation and hanging is not saved! The left
indentation is set to 0.83" and Special is Hanging.

What am I doing wrong here? Any pointers appreciated. Thanks! - Ethan

What about when you modify your styles; tick the "add to template" box before
clicking on Ok. Then go to Organiser and copy the template to the normal.dot?

Hope this helps

Hi Sarah, I just tried this and unfortunately it didn't make any
difference - EA

Open normal.dot directly in Word - make your changes and save it again.
