Stupid ? about Vista aero?

Simply...how do you turn aero on? Help section, to me, not much help. 32
bit graphics set. My graphics card is vista certified.

Right click blank area of desktop
select personalization
widows Color and appearance
open classic appearance properties for more color options
in color scheme select Windows Aero

(there has got to be a more obvious way but this way works)

It is actually on by default if your graphics card meets all of the required
specs which are more then just the 32-bit color the original poster
mentioned.

After I did what Michael suggested, I found out that the selection was to
Vista Basic. I swear aero was not there before, but its there now and
allowed me to switch. Thanks.
