I have also ran across this. When the drivers start loading the screen
locks up and all you can do is get to your task manager. I can get
into my limited user accounts but not my admin accounts. I realized
that this must be some kind of trojan horse. After doing every fix I
could think of I started deleting process and when I deleted sysu.exe
my drivers started loading. I have searched Microsoft, Norton, and
MCaffee with no luck must be new. I hope someone finds a fix. But for
now just end the process sysu.exe (might have to do it a few times
since it seems to come back every once in a while) and you can still
use your computer. I first noticed it when a dialog box popped up
saying "Its Time! Project1." Even though I exited out of them it
didn't make a difference. Hope this helps someone.

I just got this virus this morning. It's a different version of the
old Internet Optimizer virus/page hijacker. Got to
http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/InternetOptimizer.html and that should
help you get rid of it. Also, download Ad-Aware 6, check it for
updates (one available today), make sure you select "Customize" to
make it scan all files and folders. After that, update Norton
Anti-virus' definitions (updates availabe today) and run that to do a
deep registry scan and then you should be virus-free.

Hello,

I got this virus/trojan(?) also. I'm running Windows '98SE and when I
bring up the task manager & highlight SYSU that's running, it doesn't
end. Sometimes I even see a 2nd one start up. Very little is running
at that point. I've been looking around all day today for a fix. One
other thing I noticed today I did an MSCONFIG & looked at my startup,
I found two programs, that were in the SYSTEM directory which looked
suspicious. They were 4249209.exe and 66350954.EXE, I stopped those
from running and also moved the programs to the recycle bin for
now...I've run all the things you mentioned above plus SPYBOT S&D 1.3
beta 4. I also received that It's time Project 1. Anyone know
anything else about this bugger and how to really kill it?

Thanks,

Steve

Got the same thing here as well. I'm going to report it to Trend
