stuck incoming message pop 3 not responding

Cannot recieve messages, it gets stuck as though message is too large to
recieve and then comes up with POP 3 not responding. Probably really easy to
fix but have not got a clue. Messages are building up behind it and cannot
get to them.
 
That typically indicates a 'stuck' email on the server.
Log in via webmail (using your browser), delete any messages you don't
want, especially the older ones. Then try Windows Mail again.
