Stuck in secure website login loop

I'm having a problem staying logged into a website that I quite happily
accessed and used on my old PC. When I securely login from new PC (with XP
and MS Office Professional) login is successful but when I try to access any
menu items, I get sent back to login every time.

I have no problems using the site on a pal's PC running XP. Tech help on the
site is limited to list of FAQ. I've tried their suggestions of allowing all
cookies in IE6, allowing per-session cookies and adding the website to those
allowed within Content of Internet Options of IE6 to no avail.

The only other thing they suggested is that some security software can
override cookies and contact manufacturer. I have McAfee Security Centre.
After long live chat with techie trying loads of things, he suggested
uninstalling it bit-by-bit to see if that helped. It didn't make any
differnce even with all of it uninstalled so I reinstalled it all. I don't
have any other anti-spyware or firewalls on the PC (Windows firewall
disabled). Any ideas?
