stuck in safe mode with an error

I was running the system restore off my administrator console when the
computer restarted, it took it into safe mode and will not let me past that,
I have tried everything I can think of, is this a matter of pulling the hard
drive out, reformatting it again and trying it over from the start?I am
posting thiss off my other computer which is running great, but I am stuck
between a rock and a hard drive here, any help would be appreciated.thanks
