Stuck in Install Loop!!

I have a similar problem that was not answered earlier. I
tried to reinstall Windows XP Home Edition on my
Presario. During the installation process it gets stuck
with 9 minutes to go. If I reboot, it always goes back to
the reinstallation process w/ 39 minutes remaining and
asks for the XP CD. I place it in and it goes fine until
9 minutes again. If I select cancel when it demands the
CD, then it says fatal error, then goes to an error log.
I can do nothing but press ok from there and the computer
restarts to the same point in the reinstallation process.
Please help!

Why are u pressing cancel when it demands for the Cd. And did u try to format the disk and restart from fresh.
