I just got a custom PC assembled and got it home today with Windows Vista
Home Premium Edition. It had no OS previously. When I try to boot from the
DVD the progress bar under "Windows is loading files...." freezes at various
spots (I tried doing it over several times and it always stops at a different
spot). Does anybody know what I should do?

Hi,

If you got it locally bring it back to the shop. If you ordered it online
and it was preassembled, you may need to open the case. It sounds to me like
a component is either faulty or not fully seated, it may have come loose
during transportation. Check especially the data cables as well as any added
cards.
