Stretchable Background Images?

The theme image on any windows desktop stretches to fill the entire screen,
without tiling.

Is there any way to have a page created with FrontPage (FP2003) to have a
background image that stretches to the full page width, regardless of the
size of the window or the browser resolution?

No, but you really wouldn't want that to happen anyway, as you would need a
high-resolution "large" image to start with, and the filesize would be
enormous. If you notice on your windows desktop, the physical dimensions of
the original image are large, so when "stretched", the resolution loss is not
that apparent.
