I need help fixing a problem related to streaming media, like National
Public Radio's website.
When I attempt to listen to a program like last night's All Things
Considered, and put my cursor on the link for the program or a segment of
the program, the lower left-hand corner of my browser says "JavaScript:
GetMedia (ATC, the date, etc.)".
But nothing happens when I click. I used to have no problems listening to
streamed broadcasts.
I recently (2 weeks ago) I installed all of the latest service paks and
security patches for WinXP from MS site.
I get this result using Internet Explorer 6 or Netscape 7 running in Win XP
with DSL. I'm using latest versions of Real Player and Windows Media
Player.
According to the tool available here:
http://www.visualware.com/support/msjava.html
I already have MS Java VM build 5.0.3810
Thanks for any assistance.
