Strange Vista Behaviour

Vista installed perfectly on my 18mth old LW60 LG Laptop and since then it
has allowed to to re-install everything easily and quickly and everything
has worked fine. I'm very pleased with the new look and the options it gives
me in Vista Ultimate, my music files are a joy to play using the media
centre and except for Purble Palace and Inkball the games are good. I see
by reading the newsgroup there are a lot of people out there having
problems, I did my install as a "clean install" after backing up important
files first. I am no computer guru or IT expert just your regular run of the
mill person who knows how to generally get themselves into trouble with
computers. Credit where credit is due in my case at least Well done
Microsoft and Bill Gates, for the permanent anti-Microsoft folks out there
and doomsayers, yes I will give it a month and maybe things will be
different but at the moment I'm happy and it (Vista) has exceeded my
expectations. I burn CD/DVD's not a problem, listen to music, run all my
Office XP programs, use yahoo and messenger to stay in contact with family
abroad using my web-cam, play games (Sim's etc) watch TV, read and send
email, copy my camera and video to the pc, print and fax so I guess that is
a reasonable test for the system. I hope those who are experiencing problems
find their solutions and fixes soon so they can go on and enjoy computing.

Just the same as the XP release, everyone is going to have a different
mileage. A lot of people seem to blame Microsoft if their software or
external hwardware does not work but it is not their fault and they need to
realise its down to the manufacturer.
Microsoft simply cannot cater for every single computer scenarios out their
because there are limitless combinations.
I can say I have a good experience so far and the only problems have been
with 3rd party software.
