XP Professional networked with an XP Home version. On the
XP Pro - there is a user login that works but that I
cannot see in 'Users & Administration' in the Control
Panel when I'm logged in as admin or anyone!! If I try to
set it up as a new user, it says it already exists (but
again not visible). I am attempting to change a password
for the user but cannot. When I log in as the user I
can't see (!) I'm unable to change the password as it's a
guest account.
On the XP Home computer, I can see the account. I was
able to change the password on that machine! The XP Pro
was not affected by this (it keeps the old password). I
don't understand what's going on. Why can't I see the
account in the XP Pro - and even though the 2 computers
are networked and have the same username, aren't they 2
totally separate accounts?
TIA.
Confused.
