strange lost sheep

hi,

there is this 1 pc, winxp pro, was connected to the domain network, working
fine. suddenly it just could not access to any network drives or servers, the
strange thing is, its able to logon to the domain, authenticated but all
network drives & servers could not be connected?! when i tried to ping the
network drives & servers, i get response.

tried to join the system to a workgroup hoping that if i rejoin back to the
domain it should solve everything.

is there any explanations why such things would happen?
by the way, after i rejoin the domain, i can connect to the network drives &
servers as normal again.

thanks in advance for any replies!

you can logon without accessing dc is because of cached credentials. check
the DNS status when that happens. or use nslookup to test the DNS.
