Strange Folder Action

P

Pegleg

XP-Home SP2
When I dbl click on some folders instead of the folder opening a search
window opens. This has recently happened so I believe I must have
inadvertently changed some setting but don't have a clue as to what.

Any ideas?

Hi

Please try the following link to Kelly's web site:

Line 18 - right hand side
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

This is what that shows:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell]
@="none"

Is this an entry that needs to be entered or changed? If it is a change
that line is not present.
