Strange files in Windows folder

I just noticed about 50 new folders within my Windows folder. Not sure how
long they've been there. They're all titles with some variation of this:
$NtUninstallKB87333$ , and they display with blue text.

Does anyone know what these are and where they may have come from. My
computer has been VERY slow lately. Might this have something to do with it?

I'm using XP Pro with service pack 2
