Strange file

I have a file in C: (WUTemp) and in this file is another
file that when I click on it and try to delete it I get
an error message. Also when I try to highlight the file
in Explorer it will not let me highlight it. Do I need
this file?

The folder is the Windows Update Temporary folder, i.e., WUTemp. The folder
is needed for files that are being downloaded from the windows update site.
Without windows has no where to store the files as they are being
downloaded.
