I was sent something in an attachment with a file
extension of .sig and was told that it "Has some Fotoshop
in it" (his spelling, not mine). Not surprisingly,
Photoshop won't open it even when I changed the extension
to .psd. Does anyone know what program created this file
and what it might be? Thanks in advance for any help.

I can't answer your question, but in the case of mysterious enclosures
you might want to confirm with your sender that he actually sent you
something. (And, if so, perhaps request that he send it in a different
form.)
