strange Explorer behavior

Something has changed (possibly with an update) with Explorer.
I cannot go to any .com website, it does nothing. Howver if I go
to a specific page, then it works fine.

Any thoughts?

Do you mean that Ctrl+Enter, which adds www. and .com to a typed URL,
doesn't work?

If so, try this registry fix:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoComplete]
"Append Completion"="no"
"Use AutoComplete"="yes"
"AutoSuggest"="no"

Changing "Append Completion" from "no" to "yes" will restore the function.
