Strange error- adding a domain user

After succeeding in adding a domain user to a newly
installed XP workstation I open explorer and should see
username.domainname folder by defaulf. For some reason
the folder name created does not include
the ".domainname". I was told that all is well anyway but
I wanted to know what was causing this? This error
occured on 3 of 27 computers and I cannot find an
explanation. Please help?

I have added the domain admin account to the same
computer and the folder name is created properly?? I am
confused.

Who told you that the folder in documents and settings should be
username.domainname?
