add workstation to domain

Hello All,

I was hoping someone could help me out with this issue. I am on a business
network that is running win 2k server and connects thru vpn for connections
in other locations. I am trying to add this workstation to the domain, but
am unsure exactly what I need to do. I created the new user in the AD and
the computer is set up to join the domain since it was being used at another
office. I can see the computer in the AD under computers but when trying to
add this computer to the domain with the network id wizard or to join it to
the domain, I get an error "domain is not available." Could someone please
advise me to what I am doing wrong, or how to add this to my domain? Thanks
in advance for any replies.

You may need to point this PC to the server that holds the DNS zone for the
domain in the properties of TCP/IP.
