Strange dialog box when opening outlook

Recently when outlook is being launched, some of my users are getting a
dialog box that says "Outolook is about to import information into your
E-mail accounts. This can potentially modify or replaceyour existing E-Mail
account settins. Would you like to import the account settings? (Outolook
witll be opened after you click Yes or No.) Clicking No is obviously without
incident, but one of my clients clicked Yes and her PST files were removed.
Does anyone know or have any experinece with this message suddenly appearing?

Using the Mail applet in Control Panel, check to make sure the account
information is configured correctly.

Thank you for the quick response. I checked and what I see is there is no
name specifically for the user, it is "default outlook profile." Generally
that is all of our users though, everything else looks to be correct. Any
other suggesstions? I am open

duh duh and riding to work on the short yellow bus. ( not really)

Select that profile and click the E-mail Accounts button. Make sure all
settings are as they should be. What version of Outlook? What type of
account?

So, what was the answer?

Well as I was typing back to you, I realied that the profiles that were being
selected to log in under were defaylt and not personal, thus the query about
new e-mail setting s that could replace the exisiting ones. I removed the
default profile and created a new one using the user's name--
Donna A.
