Strange characters appear e.g ? and squares

Please help!

I'm running IE 6 and have the following problem. On many
shopping cart styles sites, often question marks appear
in place of where numbers should be.

Sometimes italics will appear in the wrong place and
other characters like squares can appear in place of
quotation marks ' and ".

I have tried deleting all cookies and temporary internet
files and refreshing the page. Most of the time this
does not work.

Any ideas?

Change your View/Encoding to some other setting.

Check your Java.

Get the latest. Two download versions are available for Windows Script 5.6.
The first version requires Windows 2000, XP; the second version requires
Microsoft Windows 98, Millenium Edition (Me), or NT 4.0.
Choose the download appropriate for your operating system.

Make sure that it's not caused by some popup or security software running.
