I am constantly getting the windows installer poping, and presume
ussually for something i don’t want or need how do I stop this.

the most common is when i load my Juno email.... but sure it is not
juno...
but on some ini with it anyway can’t find anything

r :D :D :D

Why don't you let it continue to see what it is trying to install. You can
always hit Cancel when you see what program is trying to install. After you
can delete that program or shut it down

first: very weird that two of us posted the same problem at exactly the same
time (eeek)

MY installer is trying "to load" the office program for the doc i.e. opening
Word or Opening Powerpoint. I don't put the disc in, cancel the installer and
everything works fine - but the installer keeps popping up everytime.

It will pop up till you give it a disk. You choose to have office Install on Demand.

it doesn’t tell me what program it is trying to install.
most of the time it only comes up for fraction of sec
to short to read anything
but don’t see when i any program listed

This generally happens, when Office has been installed on one profile. If
this is the case, see line 171 (right hand side) ignore the name:

If this isn't the case: Roxio, plays a part here as well as SpywareGuard.

i don’t think we are talking about the same thing

the popup that is coming is not asking for anything about a disk and
does have cancel button it. it even comes just load wordpad..
doesn’t say what it is installing or anything

why would i want to continue to intstall something especially if is
something I don’t want.... I never had this before untill i conected
on to a Univ network.... so it is trying to load background
programs....

my task manager shows a lot programs running that don’t need to be
there even after runnig sybot and NAV

MY installer is trying "to load" the office program for the doc i.e. opening
Word or Opening Powerpoint. I don't put the disc in, cancel the installer and
everything works fine - but the installer keeps popping up everytime.

So it is asking for the disk. Wordpad and office share some components.
