Stopped receiving emails in inbox.

This is my first communication to this group.

Using Outlook 2007. Notice that I have stopped receiving emails in my inbox
from 2 POP3 accounts, that have worked for years.

Confirmed that pop3 servers are up, and can receive on other machines. Also
confirmed settings and tests passed for each account in setup.

Also confirmed that I can receive if i create and use a new profile.
(However, I then do not have access to past emails or contacts in the old
personal folders, from within the new personal folders.)

Recommendations?

Any recommendations?

If a new profile works where the old one doesn't, it's likely the profile
corrupted. In order to access your past emails and contacts with the new
profile, click on File > Open and browse to your PST file. Your PST file by
default is called outlook.pst unless it was renamed at any point.

Remove & readd the accounts in your first profile or use the first PST file
in the new profile.

Kathleen, thanks you for your and the groups responses.

I had created a new "test" profile, in addition to my existing "Outlook"
profile.

Per advice, I eliminated the two accounts in my "Outlook" profile and
rebuilt them, which returned my email to operation.

And now I have functioning email, But noted that I have 2 Personal Folders.
the first had my old emails (through 12/24/08) it is at the "top" of my
mail folders. and it has an icon with a clock, a house and a pad. I also
now have a second Personal folder, with an in box receiving new emails, but
it is not correctly linked to my contacts. This "Bottom" Personal folder
has an icon like a blue bin with vertical yellow folders.

Now that I have a functioning email. I eliminated the other "test" profile.
my "top" in box now has functioning email, and I can access my contact list
when I hit the "to" button on new emails.

I also copied all emails received and sent to my "top" inbox, and backed up
my .pst file.

My question, can I eliminate the lower "Personal File" now? and how do I do
that?

Thanks.

I just realized that my one remaining in box is now not receiving any emails
again. Nor is it sending. What is my next step?
