is there a way to stop windows from going to sleep?
i tried to check if there is a setting for this, but no.

during presentations or discussions, my computer goes to sleep & then i have
to login again.
this is a headache, how can i overcome this issue (win xp prof),
i am willing to write a small .net tool to keep my computer awake if i have
to.

regards,

Amie

Hi

This is more a Windows forum question, but this is my suggestion:

Go into CONTROL PANEL & open POWER MANAGEMENT options.

Choose 'NEVER' for the monitor/hard drive & system standby, click APPLY &
then click OK

Now, your computer wont switch off your monitor, hard drive & won't go into
sleep mode.

I hope this helps.

u are a genius...
& i feel like a damn fool - been using windows for so many years & never
realized this

thank you

Ive been programming & supporting Windows for year. Glad to be of service
