What that support knowledge base means is:
Right-mouse click on your icon, or menu for Windows Explorer and choose "properties".
Then in the "short cut" "target line" add the following letters.
(space)/n,(space)/e,(space)C:\
The target line should read something like:
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /n,/e, c:\
Then Windows will open Windows Explorer to the C drive.
