I got a good method to stop this which Elmo gave me, a really great way to
stop it. But I was hoping he would tell me why I am not getting anything in
my deleted folder to check incase I need to save it. As I created two rules
in OE and seems a great idea as it only lets emails through that are in my
address book only. If anybody knows the reason I am not getting anything in
delete would help, Thank you. Waiting for your reply.

What?
Elmo? The Sesame Street character?
Seriously - your post is a bit random and out of place and, well - just
plain erratic.

I am guessing what you are saying is that you have setup email rules (in
Outlook Express) that essentially only accepts mail from your contacts -
deletes the rest as they are downloaded.

The better way to handle spam (you are doing very little in the battle
against malware there) is a third party application like:

SpamBayes (Free!)
http://spambayes.sourceforge.net/

Spamihilator (Free!)
http://www.spamihilator.com/

MailWasher

The rules are made to delete anyone not in your address book to the
Deleted Items folder. This works if the two rules are set as suggested,
stopping any further rules actions.

Are you sure you have only those two rules, and they're as suggested?

Create the Spam folder as suggested, and change the "Delete" rule, as
suggested in the last paragraph and see if they come through then.

My only other thought: If you have OE set to keep messages on the server
for five days, or a similar option, more options are presented in the
rules, and you may be deleting permanently from the server.

Hi
Yes it is right and everything is working great,I have added a few addresses
from deleted and put into address book. It is the best solution and glad you
took the time to print it for me. I wish I knew about this years ago as it
would have saved me years of stress with my computer. Even though I just
bought spamfighter for 3 years about a month ago, nothing goes into now as I
have the solution to all my problems. Thank you very much for all your
useful advice, cheers.

Glad it's working so well for you. Thanks for reporting the results.

Hi Elmo
I have added emails from deleted to address book but they still go to
deleted, then I re-done the pass section again with all the emails I wanted
but it still sends them to deleted. Any suggestions would be great, Thank
you.

Create a "Pass 2" folder, add the names that are missed to it. Make
sure each "Pass" folder has the "Stop processing rules" option checked,
or the "Delete" rule will catch them.

The rule reads "containing", so you should be able to just add a
nickname, rather than the complete address. If you want all email from
a particular business, just add their site name.. "usbank.com" e.g.

Hi
I have done the second pass so I will let you know if that sorts the problem
out, Thank you very much. I have another problem with my computer so I
better put another question in on a new one.
