stop Servedby ads

I can't use IE6 on my home computer because ads from
servedby.com innundate by desktop when I open it. For
example, when I go to google.com on my home computer I get
a banner ad above the Google logo but when I use my
computer at work there is no banner ad on the Google
page. If I turn on my anti-ad software (Norton's or POW!)
the ad just becomes an empty box and the ad blocker
programs are constantly closing other ad boxes that pop-up
every time I go to a new site. I've specifically blocked
ads from servedby in both of my anti-ad programs but that
hasn't helped. Perhaps I have some software on my system
that invites all of these ads to pop-up. Any ideas what I
should do/delete/install to stop these ads?
One other thing, when I use Mozilla or Opera, I don't have
the ad problem (but I still want to be able to use IE6
occassionally).
Thanx.

First eliminate any scumware.
See

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
