Stop scandisk after failer

Is there any way after a crash of window 2000 to stop scandisk from running.
Or to set something that would prevent it from running after a crash.

We have a Raid Array that does this for us and we want to stop scandisk from
running.

Bobby,
Thanks for your advice. However I dont believe this will work. Windows 2000
does not come with msconfig. At least ours doesnt. I think some of the other
versions of windows do. eg 95/98 perhaps XP. But not Win2000 server.
Am I right here or am I missing something ?
