Stop Repeated Mail

Every time I open up Outlook 2003 and go to "send and recieve", on one of my
email accounts the same read and opened mail keeps dumping into my inbox.
How can I stop this, I have over 850 pieces of mail in my box.
 
One possibility is it a problem with your ISP. I would talk with them.
