Stop people from using the 'From' option

Hi guys.

Sorry about the cryptic subject title but I didn't quite know how to put it.
We accidentally, while mucking around, found out that we could use the 'From'
field in Outlook to spoof people into thinking that an email has come from
somebody else.

For example, we sent what looked like an email from the boss to one of the
blokes in IT congratulating him and offering him a big wage rise (OK, I admit
it, they sent it to me before showing me this problem). This clearly has the
potential to be used maliciously and I was wondering if we could disable it
somehow. Our Excahnge server is 2000 running in a 2000 AD. We use Outlook
2003 and Windows 2000/XP on the desktops. Any advice would be greatly
appreciated.

Regards,
Steve.

Your permissions are set too loosely on the server. You need to use Active Directory Users and Computers to make sure that users are not inheriting Send As permission over mailboxes that they shouldn't have.
