Stop IM automatically running

Although I've tried to stop Windows Messenger from
automatically launching when I open my Outlook Express by
changing the setting in the Options menu, it is still
happening!

This probem appears to have started at the same time as
the installation of Messenger 6.0. Even when 6.0 is not
signed in, Express automatically signs me in using the
4.7 version when I open the application.

Can anyone please give me some advice on stopping this as
it is driving me crazy!

To stop this, close Outlook Express, then download and run this .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/stopmessenger_oe.reg

After this, Windows Messenger will no longer load with Outlook Express.
