Stop error c0000135 - unable to boot PC up

S

Simon Parker

Since installing some of the critical Windows updates last
week, I have been unable to boot the PC up as the
following message comes up when Windows 2000 is starting
up:

'Stop: error c0000135

{unable to locate dll} The dynamic link library winsrv.dll
could not be found in the specified path default load path'

Having looked on the KB articles, it looks like this is an
NT4.0 error messages but we have never seen this before
and are now unsure what to do to get the PC to boot up. At
present, we get the message above on a blue screen then
the system goes back through it's boot process again,
never quite getting to the logon screen.

Can anyone help on how to solve this problem?
