Can't get my Dell w/ Windows XP to boot. Tried the 'safe' mode and this stop
message came up:

{Bad Image Checksum}

The image msvcrt.dll is possibly corrupt. The header checksum does not match
the computed checksum.

Help!

Try to run the chkdsk /r on the Recovery console.
Also try to copy the File to the C:\Windows\system32.
Try to run memtest and reposition the RAM in each other slots and see
if that will help:
