Outlook 2003 automatically prevents users from saving attachments with .mdb
extenstions that are generated by Access, and there is no way to turn the
function off. After looking at the help file for Outlook 2003, it states
that common Microsoft Office products with .doc, .xls, and .ppt extensions
are not blocked. It further states that for someone to send a "blocked" file
type, for the user to rename the file to an unblocked type or use a product
like WinZip to zip the file. The sad thing is that Outlook 2003 allows you
to export your information in your folders as .mdb files. Go figure.
Microsoft, how's about fixing your Outlook Client so that a user decides
which type of file extensions to block, not arbitrarily deciding for us.
