stop automatic appointments

My Outlook 2003 has started automatically adding empty appointments every 1/2
hour. It adds aprox. 225 individual empty appointments each 1/2 hour. By the
end of the day it has added thousands. There are no reacurring appointments
set up. How do I stop it?
