stop auto display of drive contents

When I insert a zip disk, floppy disk, or CD into the
drives of XP Pro, it automatically opens a window and
displays the contents. Is there a way to turn off this
feature?

Go to start/run and type GPEDIT.MSC.
Go to Computer Configuration Administrative Templates System
Find the item Turn Off Autoplay
