Can anyone provide information on how to :-

Stop and restart Indexing Service

on Windows XP Home edition

Start, Control Panel, Admin Tools, Services. Right click "indexing
service", stop. Right click again, start.

Or you can use the command line alternative. Open a command prompt window
and enter

NET STOP CISVC
NET START CISVC

Open Control Panel, Administrative Tools.. In there you will see
Services...Run down the list (alphabetical) until you see Indexing, double
click on it and follow instructions in the box to Start or Stop whichever
you wish,, Do NOT use msconfig to do this, do it thru the Control panel
Applet..
