I have an IBM x345 Server running Windows 2003 Server as a file server. It
is regularly giveing STOP 0x0000008e errors.

The server is currently not under any load as we are in a commissioning
stage, but we would liek to sort this out before it is needed.

Has anyone else seen this problem and know how I can further diagnose and /
or fix it?

Cheers,

James.

This is a very common bugcheck.

KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (0x8E)
PARAMETERS
1 - The exception code that was not handled
2 - The address that the exception occurred at
3 - Trap Frame

Most likely caused by a kernel mode driver. Best bet would be to visit the
manufacturers websites for the hardware in your system and make sure you're
running the latest drivers.
