Stop 0x0000007B (...)

Hi,

I'm having some serious problems with my computer. When I tried to boot up
my machine this morning, I got a blue screen with the following error
message:

Stop 0x0000007B (0xEF02384C, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

The message said to check my computer for viruses, check the hard drive to
make sure it is properly configured and terminated, and to run CHKDSK /F to
check for harddrive corruption, then restart computer.

I don't know how to do any of the things that the message suggested I do,
since I don't know how to restart the computer to be able to do anything!
I tried to restart in the safe mode. That didn't work. Booting with the Last
Known Good configuration didn't work either. Both times I got the blue
screen. I tried to use an Emergency Boot Floppy that I had created a few
months ago, but it wouldn't accept the disk.

I'm not sure why this problem arose. I installed MS Project 2000 yesterday,
and some automatic Microsoft updates; but those are the only recent changes
I have made to my computer. I have not recently installed any new hardware.

Please, any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Courtney

Greetings,

I'm afraid you're going to need someone in front of your
system who knows what they're doing, as this does not
sound like a "click - Hey, Presto!" problem!

If you can't follow/understand the following, you'll
definitely need someone on-site:

Kindest regards,

James,

Thanks so much for your message. I did have someone come
take a look at the machine. Unfortunately he was unable to
fix the problem so far. Someone else is coming to check it
out tomorrow!

Thanks for the help.

Best,
Courtney
