Stop 0x0000001e error HELP!!!

D

Daverino

I have gotten the following blue screen message when I try
to get to the W2k login screen...

STOP 0x0000001e (0xC0000005, 0x8041f228, 0x00000000,
0x00000030
Kmode exception not handled

I think that i understand the 0x8041f228 is the specific
driver that is giving me the trouble, but I don't know how
to find out which driver on which device is identified by
0x804....

All the devices in my device manager are ok at this point.

Any help on resolving this would be appreciated

Thanks!

The only way to determine what driver would cause the stop code would be to
have Microsoft evaluate the memory dump. In the dump contains the fault.
Common causes for the STOP 0X0000001E at logon would be remote control
software such as pcAnywhere or VNC. If you have a good backup then perform
a restore. Otherwise this issue would require extensive troubleshooting
