STOP 0000001E Error and then Reboot

I have used XP for about 6 months and found some issues with video editing
and capture hardware. Have gone to 2K, it used to work well.

My system was rebooting about every hour or so on its own, I turned off the
auto restart and I was blue screening a:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Beginning Dump of physical Memory........

The event log reports an error:

Bad hardware and or driver. Given you're having trouble with the network
interface, probably start there.

This is the operating system telling you that it got an error in a part of the operating system that isn't allowed to have errors.
It doesn't know how to deal with that, and that causes the blue screen.

A stop 1E is almost always the result of a faulty driver or misconfigured device. The things to check first are that your disk has
enough free space - purge the temp folder, check that the pagefile.sys is big enough, etc. If that doesn't resolve it, download and
run a few passes of memtest86. A periodic blue screen is also suggestive of a thermal or power problem, but that would not be the
error you would normally expect to see for that. Still, it is worth checking.

Beyond those things, if a driver is identified in the blue screen, then simply disable the associated device and verify that the
problem goes away. (Oftentimes I find it is a CD-writer or firewire/USB driver that is the culprit, but video and audio drivers are
also likely.) Check for driver updates, motherboard/chipset updates, BIOS updates, windows updates, etc. Somewhere in there you will
find your solution.

Hi,
Update all your drivers and check your hardware. In case you have hotfix
891861 installed on your machine, uninstall it.
