After trying all the things that Rock said to do Re: Where did my Sounds go?
I still have no sound. This has happened before and I some how figured it
out on my own. But not working this time! The only thing that has happened
up to me loosing the sound is I installed a new printer and I received 2
video emails that involved my New Wave Sound program. To my knowledge it was
working up to there. I was wondering if the New Wave program could over ride
the sounds on the computer? Also I was wondering if you can tell me, on the
Sound Playback should you be on Modem #0 Line Playback or Realtek AC97 Audio
and the same for the Sound Recording. At the moment I have Modem #0 Line
Playback highlighted on Sound Playback & Realtek on the Sound Recording.
Have I lost you? Also I was wondering if the is a sound device on the New
Wave that I could turn off as I very seldom have to us it.
Thanks,
Gail

If the speakers are plugged in properly, you should be able to get your
sound back by doing a system restore to an earlier date when the sound was
working.

Sorry those tips didn't help. Both should be set to Realtek.
