Still getting: is not a valid Win 32 application

Starting about 2 weeks ago, some of the executable software installation
files I download will run and others give me the “%1 is not a valid Win 32
application†error.

I have checked out all the previous answers on this subject I could find. I
have deleted the executable installation file, cleared temp files, run Norton
Antivirus and the six antispyware programs I use. I ran SFC /Scannow. Then,
I re-downloaded the executable installation file and tried running it. Same
results. I get the “is not a valid Win 32 applicationâ€.

Examples of files which give me the error: 1clickfixerplus.exe;
1clickpcfix2006.exe; frfwebsite.exe and frf_demo.exe.
Examples of files which have run properly and installed the program or
update: ccsetup.exe; 12shredder7010.exe; ta05dxdw.exe; winzip100.exe.

Please, is there anything else I can do to fix this problem?

Thanks

1clickfixerplus.exe 1clickpcfix2006.exe; frfwebsite.exe and frf_demo.exe.
are spyware. As you are finding out, spyware can be notoriously difficult to
remove. Keep on trying. If you are ultimately unsuccessful you'll need to
wipe your hard disk clean and start over.

Wow! Are you sure? 1clickpcfix2006.exe; frfwebsite.exe and frf_demo.exe
are programs recommended by PCWorld. I downloaded them from their online
site and they will not install.

PC World is not below recommending programs that are known to contain adware
or other spyware. They also recommend Kazaa and other P2P garbage. They're
supposed to advise their readers if a download contains spyware so the
reader can decide whether or not to try the program.

As recently as the middle 1990's, PC World was an authoritative source of
computer knowledge. Now, it's just a crock of...well, it's a crock.
