I previously posted on this message board about
getting "Access Denied" messages when I try open a
folder. The various responses told me to check these
sites out:

The 308421 knowledge base article was the only one that
seemed helpful. It directed me to go into safe mode and
change the ownership of the folders. That solved the
problem, but while in safe mode only. When I boot
normally, the problem is still there; it's like the safe
mode changes had no effect.

This is not a system or hidden folder. I'm using XP
Home. Thanks for any more advice you might have.

Well give permissions to your normal user after the inbuilt admin account takes ownership. Or state your problem rather than posing theoretical questions.

I looked around the various ownership-related screens and
as far as I can tell, I (not as the administrator) have
premission correctly set up to access this folder.
