Sticky Keys

When ever I powerup the laptop, I think Sticky Keys are enabled. I can type
my password and log into the domain. Then when I try to use the keyboard in
Outlook, the keys will not type. I have to hold the right shift button for
abut 8 seconds, then I hear a beep, then they work.
How do I stop this from happening upon startup...?

Thanks,
Tom...

Control Panel (classic view)> Accessibility Options
On "Keyboard" page, remove check next to "use Sticky Keys."
Before closing out of this screen, click the Settings button.
On next screen that appears, uncheck box next to "Use Shortcut."

NOTE: You may have a stuck key on your laptop - most likely the Shift key
since this is the shortcut key that invokes sticky keys. Turning off the
options above will stop sticky keys from launching at startup, but it won't
stop the shift key from sticking.

Follow manufacturer's directions for cleaning keyboard. Hopefully that will
fix the stuck key. If not, it may be necessary to have the keyboard
repaired or replaced. Tricky business on a laptop.
