Step-by-step to rebuild XP?

Jim

Can someone point me to a step-by-step process to rebuild
my WinXP hard drive. I've run out of options to get rid
of W32.Swen. Symantec full system scan finds it, but the
downloaded kill tool doesn't. It's internal and
regenerating itself - nothing malicious yet that I can
see, but who knows. How do I rebuild? What to save?
What will I lose?
Thanks for any help.

I was able to simply delete the file. Go to Langa.com and
d/l his batch file for cleaning. Norton can't fix it
because access is denied. They will lell you where it is
though. Point the batch file to it and run from Command
Prompt. It will look a little like this but you'll have
to change it to your settings and maybe use the file name
specifically. Name the file something.bat
:
cd "C:\Documents and Settings\[bill]\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content IE6"
del /q /s /f *.*
