Status Bar

Hi all,

I use Windows Mail to read news groups only. I have noticed that the status
bar of Win Mail not longer shows the number of messages downloaded and the
number of messages unread. This only occur in the MS news groups. Other NG's
display normally. How can I get the info back in the MS NG's?

Yes it is, but I un-checked and re-checked it. Doing this seems to have
fixed the problem.

If I understand what you are saying, then it happens to me also. It is
temporary for me but one thing that seems to help is to select (click on)
the account node in the folders hierarchy (the parent node of the
newsgroup). The newsgroups that you subscribe to will be in the listview on
the right. Then when you go back to the newsgroup the status bar might be
functioning again the way it should.

The next time it happens for me, I will try toggling the status bar off and
on.

My problem raised it's head again. This time I see what the problem is.

In Options if you have "MS message rating functions" checked, Windows Mail
will download Metadata from the server. This function seems to be broken,
not sure if it's on my end or the NG server. While downloading it displays
an error "download failed".
