Status Bar

How can you change the color of the status bar (if this is the right name)
from the default green to a color of my choice? I'm referring to the white
box that usually appears in the bottom center of IE when a website's page is
loading.

Hi Millington,

You can change the color by changing the windows theme applied to your
desktop (XP Style or Windows Classic)

There are no freeware tweaks that I know of to allow you to change the color
of the Progress Bar, but the Avant and Maxthon Browsers (which are IE based)
allow you to change this, and other color customizations too.
If you are a programmer you subclass the Progress control and send a Paint
message.
