As I am trying to teach Excel to our office, I am going over each item in the menu dropdowns. View shows Formula and Status bars. Formula obviously show the cell name and data /formula for the cell. The question is what information/purpose does the Status bar provide?
The status bar indicates, among other things, whether a
calculation is required, and the state of certain keys and
options, like cap/num lock, fixed edit mode, etc. Many programs
use the status bar to display progress information to the user.
